Hi, I’m Josh.
I’m a Glasgow-based saxophonist with over 20 years of playing and performing experience. My set is an eclectic mix of pop music, designed to appeal to all ages and tastes.
This is not the typical “Ibiza sax” vibe — it’s not a gimmick, and it’s not a passing trend. Instead, expect a wide range of feel-good pop music: from A Little Respect (Erasure) to Pink Pony Club (Chappell Roan), from Relight My Fire (Take That) to Espresso (Sabrina Carpenter), and from Like a Prayer (Madonna) to Freed From Desire (Gala).
With formal training from the University of Leeds (BA Hons, Popular and World Music) and the University of York (MA, Music), I combine deep musical understanding with a genuine love of performing to create an experience your guests will truly enjoy.
Services
I offer 2 core services: the Dancefloor set and the Cocktail Hour set.
The Dancefloor set is an upbeat mix of well-known songs for all ages and tastes, guaranteed to get people on the dancefloor and having a good time. The focus is on instantly recognisable tracks and feel-good music that creates a fun, inclusive atmosphere without feeling cheesy or overdone.
This set works perfectly before a DJ or live band, or later in the evening as a standalone performance.

The Cocktail Hour set takes well-known pop songs and reworks them with stripped-back, acoustic backing tracks. The songs remain familiar, but the overall vibe is more relaxed, stylish, and jazzy.
This set is ideal for cocktail hours, guest arrivals, drinks receptions, or any moment where you want great music without it taking over the room.
Pricing
I charge £265 for a one-hour set, which includes travel in and around Glasgow. For events outside Glasgow, we can chat about travel arrangements. I usually plug into the venue’s sound system, but for smaller gatherings or home events, I can provide my own sound equipment.
Special Requests
Want a specific song included? I’m happy to incorporate special song requests into your set — just provide your choice at least 4 weeks before the performance date. This allows time to arrange it properly and ensure it fits seamlessly within the flow of the set.
Other Services
Ceremonial music. I also offer bespoke compositions and performances for special occasions — whether it’s walking down the aisle, a proposal, or a memorial.
